Pathfinders Devotional: What do you want in life?
Good questions to ask one's self periodically in all areas of our life. When we don't do this, it is easy to lose direction and quickly fall into a monotonous lifestyle. Whether at work, with our families, our relationships or one's faith, monotony is boring, unattractive and emotionally draining. Can we dare say this is the norm for our society today? Has it become the status quo to be lukewarm? We all know what God thinks about that (Revelation 3:16)!
How many of us have asked these questions specific to our faith and belief in God? What does God want or what do I want with God? Why is this important? How is this possible? Here are some verses to start with if considering these questions for the first time:
- What - Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 12:28-31
- Why - 2 Corinthians 9:11, Philippians 4:11-13
- How - James 2:14-17, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13
God came that we may have an abundant life and unhindered relationship with Him. He desired that of the Israelites, He desired that of the first century Jews and Gentiles and He desires that of us today. If you’re lacking zeal, ask the questions and help make your dreams a reality.
In His Love!
