Devotionals: Hearing What God Has Taught Others...
What does the Bible say?
"16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." ~ 2nd Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
There are two ways we learn something:
- Learning from other's experiences.
- Learning from our own experiences.
When we learn from others, we not only learn what to do, but what not to do. We don't have to learn on our own to be careful around electricity, or slowdown before you take that tight turn, or pull the stock of that shotgun tight to your shoulder before you fire. Your choice. Expermentation can be fun, but why do it unless you are really "blazing a trail".
Devotionals are a way to learn what God has shown someone else through His word.
